PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Western Connecticut State University junior attackman Cody Suhr (Holbrook, N.Y.) and freshman attacker Thomas Keegan (Lake Grove, N.Y.) were selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for their stellar play in the Wolves' conference road wins against Keene State and Salem State last week. WestConn, coached by Ryan Cavanagh (11th Season), is currently 10-3 overall and 4-0 in the LEC and will host conference rival Eastern Connecticut next on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Suhr tallied nine goals and two assists for 11 total points against the Owls and the Vikings. He scored six goals with one helper in the 13-11 win at Keene State, snapping a 9-9 tie followed by two more goals to pad the lead for the eventual win. His sixth goal with 5:03 left to play gave WestConn a 12-10 lead. The junior capped the week with three goals and one assist in the Wolves' 15-10 triumph at Salem State.  Keegan buried a game-high four goals to lift WestConn at Salem State, as the Wolves rallied from a 7-4 second quarter deficit to pull out the win. Keegan contributed two assists and four ground balls in the victory at Keene State.
