DANBURY, Conn. - Western Connecticut State University football senior Dominic Rienzi (Brewster, N.Y.) and juniors Marco Delima (New Milford, Conn.) and Eamon Moran (Stratford, Conn.) were each named to the 2025 CSC Division III Academic All-District Football Team.  WestConn, coached by Kevin Jones, finished the 2025 season with a 5-5 overall record and tied for fourth with Catholic and Moravian in its first season in the Landmark with a 2-4 mark against league opponents.  Rienzi graces the CSC All-District Football Team for the third year in a row.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.  Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.  The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.

The Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport and is selected by the players and coaches from their respective team.  The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes selected demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They are ambassadors for the team, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.  The All-Sportsmanship Team was created by the Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in 2013 as a way to highlight student-athletes who are making an impact. The Landmark previously awarded a Sportsmanship Cup before the All-Sportsmanship Team replaced the Cup for the 2013-14 academic year.  A total of 67 Landmark fall student-athletes were selected by their respective teams.

Rienzi, a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, started all 10 games at inside linebacker this fall and recorded 50 tackles (27 solo), three pass breakups, two tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception, and a fumble recovery that he returned 60 yards for a touchdown in a win over Catholic.  Rienzi was WestConn's representative on the Landmark All-Sportsmanship Team in 2025 and was nominated for the 2025 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team. A graduate of Brewster High School, Rienzi was also a Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Fall All-Academic selection in 2022, 2023, and 2024 as a health promotion studies major at WestConn.

Delima started all 10 games on WestConn offensive line in 2025, helping the Wolves average 93 yards per game on the ground with 16 rushing touchdowns. A graduate of New Milford High School, Delima has been a MASCAC All-Academic Team honoree twice as a nursing major at WestConn.  Moran started all 10 games at linebacker this fall, leading WestConn with 67 tackles (28 solo) and adding 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble.  A graduate of Bunnell High School, Moran has been a MASCAC All-Academic Team honoree twice as a psychology major at WestConn.
