TOWNSON, Md. — After the Western Connecticut State University football team's first season in the Landmark Conference, senior linebacker Dominic Rienzi (Brewster, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Fall 2025 All-Sportsmanship Team on Friday. The Wolves, coached by Kevin Jones (1st Season), concluded the campaign 5-5 overall and 2-4 in the league. Rienzi recorded 50 total tackles, three pass breakups, two tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and recovery for a touchdown, a quarterback hit and an interception.

The linebacker was also nominated to the 2025 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team for his work the past season. Rienzi's impact off the field is just as powerful as his game at the Westside Athletic Complex. From mentoring teammates to teaching the game to the next generation, the junior takes pride in giving back to the community.

Rienzi has been named to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Fall All-Academic Team for three straight years and to the CSC Division III Academic All-District Football Team the last two. He concluded his career with 110 total tackles, five pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble and recovery for a touchdown across 28 games played.
