DANBURY, Conn. -  Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 19th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year and first in the calendar year of 2026 have been selected for their incredible performances on the basketball court and in the throwing circle. Senior Francesca Foster (Mystic, Conn.) and rookie Alex Neves (Danbury, Conn.) were named Wolves of the Week.

Foster combined for 17 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, three assists and a pair of blocks in a 1-1 week for WestConn women's basketball. The guard earned a season-high 11 points in the 64-61 win over SUNY Cobleskill.

Neves finished second in the 5,000-meter run for a time of 16:15.88 at the Wesleyan University Invitational on Saturday.
