DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 20th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year for their stellar performances on the ice and on the track. Men's ice hokey freshman
Scott McNulty (Williamstown, N.J.) and women's track and field rookie
Melodie Millner (Hartford, Conn.) were named Wolves of the Week.
McNulty had a four-point week for the Wolves. In WestConn's first-ever LEC win, a 3-2 home triumph over New England College, he tied the game at 2-2 with a goal in the middle of the second period and assisted on the game-winner later in the second. McNuly also assisted on WestConn's first goal against the Pilgrims and had scored a goal in the Wolves' 4-3 setback against Plymouth State the previous night.
Millner competed against athletes from all divisions in the Harvard University Invitational. She posted a time of 28.38 in the 200-meter dash, finishing among the top 20 Division III runners in a field of 88 total competitors. In the 400-meter dash, Millner recorded a time of 1:02.53, which was 29th overall and sixth-fastest among Division III runners in the race.
