HARTFORD, Conn. - Freshman Anthony Paulino (Bristol, Conn.) finished third in the long jump and teamed with senior Kenneth Okoroafor (Trumbull, Conn.), sophomore Ethan Alexander (Chapachet, R.I.), and fellow rookie Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.) to earn seventh in the 4x100-meter relay, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves finished 12th in the Trinity Men's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Trinity College this afternoon.  WestConn, which had competed in the Bonnie Edmondson Invitational at Eastern Connecticut State University on Friday, totaled nine points in the team standings with a handful of competitors in the meet. 

Other top performances included an eighth-place finish by senior Nick Howlett (North Haven, Conn.) in the 5,000-meter run, 11th-place finish by Do Amaral in the 110-meter hurdles, a 12th-place finish by Paulino in the triple jump, and a 12th-place distance by sophomore Zenghan Piao (Fairfield, Conn.) in the long jump.  WestConn will head to the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth next for the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships on Saturday, April 26.
