MANSFIELD, Conn. - Freshman Daniel Nalbation (Danbury, Conn.) finished fourth in the shot put with a heave of 12.65 meters, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves finished eighth as a team in the Bonnie Edmondson Men's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Eastern Connecticut State University this afternoon. WestConn totaled 16 points, while Eastern Connecticut won the team title with 151 points.  The Wolves will complete a busy weekend in the Trinity Invitational tomorrow.

WestConn freshman Ryan Andryuk (Goshen, N.Y.) was fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.20 and graduate Nicholas Howlett (North Haven, Conn.) came in eighth place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:23.70.  Andryuk also teamed with junior Quasim Benson (Wilmington, Del.), sophomore Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.), and freshman Aidan Kane (Woodstock, Conn.) for a sixth-place time of 44.29 in the 4x100-meter relay.  Benson added a ninth-place finish in the long jump and junior Zenghan Piao (Fairfield, Conn.) was ninth in the high jump for the Wolves.
