Tyler Loth (Bethel, Conn.) and sophomore
Kenneth Okoroafor (Trumbull, Conn.) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 60-meter dash, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves closed out its slate of men's indoor track and field invitationals at the New York City Armory this afternoon.
Competing in the NYU Invitational, Loth and Okoroafor both finished at 7.13 in the 60-meter finals but Loth was faster by .002 seconds to take sixth in the race. Okoroafor had earned his way into the finals with the fifth-fastest preliminary time of 7:13 and Loth recorded a qualifying time of 7.15 in his preliminary heat.
In the field events, WestConn freshman
Jeferson Encarnacion (Bridgeport, Conn.) shined with a 10th-place height of 5;08.75" in the high jump. Senior
Kevin Wood (Bethel, Conn.) was 28th in the shot put at 33'00.50", and freshman
Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.) was solid in the 60-meter hurdles with a 22nd-place time of 9.25.
