DANBURY, Conn. — Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. Jersey Jones (Middletown, N.Y.) and sophomore center
Marcel Henry (Yonkers, N.Y.) were named Wolves of the Week.
Henry recorded 35 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of blocks for WestConn men's basketball across two games. The sophomore center scored a career-high 19 points and four rebounds in a road game against Emerson College on Friday. In the 83-76 home victory over Manhattanville University, Henry notched 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
Jones recorded 34 digs and 6 service aces across two matches in the Little East Conference championship tournament to conclude her season with women's volleyball. She delivered a trio of aces in both matchups, along with 12 digs in the 4-1 win over Eastern Connecticut State University and 22 digs against UMass Dartmouth.
