WESTFIELD, Mass. - On Wednesday, Western Connecticut State University senior linebacker Matt Forti (Bronx, N.Y.) and junior running back Chad Blaszky (Seldon, N.Y.) have been named to the All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASAC) Second Team.

Forti finished the 2021 season with a 68 total tackles for the 5-5 WestConn football team.  He registered 44 primary tackles, had two interceptions, four tackles for a loss of 15 yards and a quarterback sack.  Forti had a season-high 11 tackles and one and one-half tackles for a loss against Albright in the second week of the season.

Braszky led WestConn's rushing attack with 129 carries and 713 yards gained and scored four touchdowns..  He also had three catches for 27 yards and one TD via the airways.  Blaszky matched his season-best with 149 yards gained in games against University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and Worcester State University.
