PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Western Connecticut State University senior center Sara Macary (Naugatuck, Conn.) was selected for the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Basketball All-Conference First Team.  WestConn, coached by Maria Conlon (2nd Season), finished the 2025-26 season with a 10-15 record, including a 5-5 mark in its last 10 games, and a 5-11 mark against conference teams. 

Macary led the Wolves and tied for second in the LEC in rebounding with 7.7 per game and was sixth in the LEC in scoring with 15.6 ppg this winter.  She was fifth in the league in field goal shooting with a team-high .482 percentage and sixth in free throw shooting at .850, while also totaling 27 steals and 10 blocks while starting all 25 games.  She was honored as the LEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week twice this season.  A graduate of Naugatuck High School who came to Danbury this fall after three years at Franklin Pierce, Macary is majoring in business management at WestConn.
