DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 26th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year for their stellar performances on the lacrosse turf. Women's lacrosse sophomore
Kyla Murnane (Bethpage, N.Y.) and men's lacrosse junior
James Krieg (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) were named Wolves of the Week.
In back-to-back wins for the Wolves, Murnane recorded eight groundballs, seven caused turnovers, four assists, a goal and scooped up two draw controls. Murnane earned career-highs in groundballs (6) and caused turnovers (4) against UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday. She is tied for first on the team in assists with 11 this season.
Krieg totaled six goals, two assists and a pair of groundballs in a 2-0 week for men's lacrosse. Krieg netted five and added a helper in the 15-9 win over Farmingdale State in Florida, handing the Rams their first loss of the season.
