DANBURY, Conn. -  Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday.  The 29th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year for their stellar performances on the softball diamond and the field. Softball junior Kendall Allen (Naugatuck, Conn.) and men's track and field junior Zenghan Piao (Farirfield, Conn.) were named the Wolves of the Week.  Piao claimed a podium spot after coming in second place in the long jump with a leap of 6.45 meter, just 0.04 meters behind first place in the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.  Allen batted .400 with 18 RBI, six runs, two doubles and two home runs over a 6-2 week for the Wolves softball squad.
