DANBURY, Conn. — Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 16th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year and first in the calendar year of 2026 have been selected for their stellar performances on the basketball court. Seniors
Malaysia Dingle (Brockton, Mass.) and
Tayejon Lynch (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) were named Wolves of the Week.
Dingle closed 2025 with 10 points, six assists, three rebounds and made her 100th career steal in an overtime setback at Plymouth State on December 13. Dingle added five points against Salisbury and six points, four rebounds, and a pair of steals in a 51-44 victory over Wilkes in the San Juan Shootout in late December.
Lynch scored in double figures in four games in a row, helping WestConn defeated Little East Conference (LEC) rival Plymouth State, Emmanuel and New Jersey City in the WestConn Holiday Classic, and City College of New York on January 2. Lynch had 12 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals against the Panthers, 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists against the Saints, 11 points, six assists, and five blocks the Holiday Classic finals victory over New Jersey City, and 10 points and four assists against the Beavers.
