MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Freshman Alex Neves (Danbury, Conn.) finished second in the 5,000-meter run, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves competed in the Wesleyan University Invitational at Bacon Field House this afternoon. Neves posted a time of 16:15.88 and was followed by rookie teammate Ed Dalton (Naugatuck, Conn.) in sixth and graduate teammate Nick Howlett (North Haven, Conn.) in seventh in the race.  WestConn will head to the Harvard Invitational next on the weekend of January 30 and 31.

Wolves junior Kevin Dias (Danbury, Conn.) also scored in the meet, placing sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.81.  Sophomore Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.) added a ninth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, and senior Glenn Addotey (Danbury, Conn.) highlighted the sprints with an 11th-place finish in the 400-meter dash, WestConn freshman Nicco Nardecchia (Orange, Conn.) was 14th in the triple jump and rookie teammate Daniel Nalbatian (Danbury, Conn.) came in 16th place in the shout put.
