DANBURY, Conn. — Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 11th Wolves of the Week in the 2025-26 year have been selected for their stellar performances on the pitch and the field. Senior midfielder
Hannah Blacher (Allendale, N.J.) and senior defensive end
Nick Simmons (Middletown, N.Y.) were named Wolves of the Week.
Blacher scored a goal and assisted on the other to lead WestConn to a 2-0 win over Eastern Connecticut State University in the Little East Conference Semifinals on November 5. She led the team this season in assists with nine and was second in goals (7) and in points (23).
Simmons led the Wolves with eight tackles (five solo) and added a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery, as WestConn's defensive line held Catholic University to 3.2 yards per carry in the 52-19 Landmark Conference victory.
