WestConn Hosts LEC Men's Golf Championships Thursday And Friday

DANBURY, Conn. - Western Connecticut State University will serve as host of the 2025 Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Golf Championship Tournament at The Redding Country Club on October 9 and 10.  Admission is free. Spectators are not to interact with the competitors during play.  Southern Maine won the 2024 LEC title played at Keene Country Club in New Hampshire.  Castleton, Keene State, and Rhode Island College players will begin teeing off at 9 a.m. and WestConn, Eastern Connecticut and Southern Maine tee off between 9:50 and 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.   

WestConn, coaches by Adam Lanehart (3rd Season), finished a best-ever third in the 2024 LEC Championships as current junior Tim Larson (New Milford, Conn.) earned all-conference honors with a sixth-place individual finish.  The Wolves lineup will also include sophomore Anthony Nanfito (Middletown, Conn.) and rookies Ashton Clark-Sanford (Salamanca, N.Y.), Giancarlo Garippa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), Logan Starks (Mechanicville, N.Y.).  WestConn has enjoyed a fine invitational season this fall, winning the Mitchell Invitational and most recently tying for third place in the Keene Invitational on September 25.
