PORTLAND, Maine - Freshman Tim Larson (New Milford, Conn.) fired an 81 on each day to finish 17th on leaderboard with a 162 for the tournament, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves finished sixth in the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Golf Championship Tournament on Thursday and Friday afternoon at Riverside Golf Course. WestConn totaled 327 on Thursday and one stroke higher today to finish at 655 as a squad, 10 strokes shy of fifth-place Rhod Island College. Eastern Connecticut won the team title at 590.

Gavin Calcavecchio (New Milford, Conn.) had finished Thursday's round just seven strokes off the first-place pace with a 77 before shooting an 86 today end up 18th overall at 63. Junior Nicholas Bedell (Milford, Conn.) tied for 19th at 164 (83+81) and classmate Joe Larson (New Milford, Conn.) came in 23rd place with at 166 after improving six strokes from 86 on Thursday to 80 today. The Wolves will be back on the course on Wednesday, October 11 when they travel to Bloomfield, Conn. for the Warrior Invitational at Tumblebrook Golf Course.
