DANBURY, Conn. — Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The eighth Wolves of the Week in the 2025-26 year have been selected for their stellar performances on the field. Junior midfielder Alyssa Montalvo (Holbrook, N.Y.) and junior wide receiver Markus Faucett (Bronx, N.Y.) were named as the Wolves of the Week.

Faucett was stellar for WestConn football after catching seven passes for 221 yards and a touchdown on Homecoming Weekend against Landmark Conference opponent Lycoming College on Saturday.

Montalvo recorded three goals and one assist for seven points for WestConn field hockey. The junior netted the game-winning goals in back-to-back contests against Nichols College and William Patterson University. In the 5-2 win over Nichols, Montalvo had a pair of goals and an assist to lead the Wolves to victory. She added a goal for the eventual game-winner in the close 3-2 victory over William Patterson.
