Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. - The Western Connecticut State University women's tennis squad was downed by Wheaton College, 9-0, to begin its Spring Trip in Florida on Sunday afternoon at the USTA National Training Center.

"It was great to have the ladies return back to action again. Unfortunately we had a slow start out of the gates, but there was some notable improvements in the second sets. We'll go at it again tomorrow and play for a better result," said WestConn head coach Shawn Stillman following the action.

Despite the loss, senior Natalie Paradise (Naugatuck, Conn.), junior Sarah Cipriano (Watertown, Conn.) and classmate Sophie Charbonneau (Oakville, Conn.) all played competitive matches for the Wolves.

WestConn returns to action on Monday against Franciscan before meeting Roger Williams on Tuesday. They conclude the trip down south with a matchup against Macalester on Thursday.
