3/19/2026 10:16:00 PM

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves downed the Webster University Gorlocks, 5-2, in women's tennis action this afternoon at Sanlando Park.  The Wolves, which also lost to Edgewood College, 7-0, today, is now 4-13.  WestConn was forced into the unusual tennis doubleheader due to bad weather both in Florida and around the country where multiple Wolves opponents experienced travel delays.  Webster drops to 1-12 and Edgewood improves to 14-8.  WestConn will return North and host New England next in one of two spring matches in New England on April 13 at 3:30 p.m.

WestConn lost the doubles point to the Gorloks and three Wolves earned singles victories.  Senior Aylina Razeq (Danbury, Conn.) opened singles play with an 8-5 win at the fourth position, as the matches were shortened to eight-game pro sets.  Freshman Eilynn Pierre (Queens Village, N.Y.) won, 8-5, at second singles and sophomore Ava Ciampi (Wolcott, Conn.) pulled out a victory at third singles, 8-7 (2).  The Gorlocks took forfeits at the bottom two spots on the ladder.
