After leading 10-8 a third of the way through the third stanza, UMass Boston's Gavin Admirand capped off a 6-1 run to give the hosts a 14-11 advantage at the 9:59 mark.

Trey Aronow (Holbrook, N.Y.) and
Eric Caldwell (East Moriches, N.Y.) were not enough as the Beacons controlled the possession down the stretch. They both finished with a pair of goals on the afternoon.
Senior
Perry Cassidy (East Setauket, N.Y.) suffered the loss in goal for the Colonials. He made 15 saves and was credited with an assist on Caldwell's final marker.
The Beacons were led by Gavin Admirand's five goals. Jackson Whitlock recorded three goals and four assists to match Admirand's seven points.
Christian Meinhold earned the victory in goal for UMB. He made 19 saves on Saturday.
WestConn's only appearance in the NCAA tournament came in 2008. That season, as the number three seed, defeated fifth-ranked Plymouth State University, 18-7.
