PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Western Connecticut State Univeristy junior forward Nickolas Santana (New Haven, Conn.) was named as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding play in four games for the Wolves last week.  WestConn, coached by Joe Mingachos (11th Season), is currently 5-2-3 overall and 2-0 in the LEC and will host Kean next on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Santana totaled three goals, two assists and eight points in a 2-1-1 week for the Wolves. He scored once in a 2-2 draw against Worcester Tech on Tuesday before adding another goal in a 4-0 victory over Lehman the following evening. Santana turned in his top performance of the week in WestConn's 4-0 LEC victory over Plymouth State, recording a goal and two assists for a season-high four points. He scored the eventual game-winner in the 11th minute and finished the week with nine shots.
