DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey team completed its first varsity season and 2025-26, and two Wolves players have gone on to sign professional contract with European teams this summer.  Jack Graham signed a contract in June with Einfhoven Kemphanen of the Dutch Eredivisie/BeNe League and Luca Maiuri signed with the Blackburn Hawks of the NIHL in England.

Graham was brought in as the fourth and final import player for the Kemphanen roster as a hard-working forward. Before turning professional in the Netherlands, Graham played in 21 regular season games for the Wolves and tallied two goals and four assists for six points. He joined Eindhoven, a a Dutch ice hockey team based in Eindhoven, Netherlands, as part of their major recruitment push to compete in the Eredivisie playoffs.  

Maiuri filled the final import roster spot for Blackburn, after appearing in 23 games and recording three goals and one assist for seven points. Maiuri spent 3 seasons in the NOJHL with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, where he scored 26 goals and 55 points over 161 regular season games.  The Blackburn Hawks are a professional British ice hockey team based in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. They compete Division I in the NIHL. In 2025-26, the team posted a 31-5 regular season record (93 points). In recent years, the Hawks have recruited heavily from North American collegiate programs (NCAA Division III) to fill import slots and add playmaking capability to their roster.
