NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — The Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey team dropped a 7-0 contest on the road at UMass Dartmouth on Friday. The Wolves moved to 2-22-0 overall and 1-16-0 in the Little East Conference, while the Corsairs improved to 11-13-0 and 6-11-0.
Tyler Stewart scored three straight goals across the first two periods for the hosts, followed by four tallies by UMass in the final stanza.
Liam Lane (Castle Rock, Colo.) and
Dylan Dewachter (London, Ontario) shared time in the net for the Wolves and combined for 30 saves, as Lane denied 23 through 48 minutes of action.
WestConn remains on the road for their final game of the inaugural season at UMass Boston on Saturday, with a 4 p.m. puck drop.
