WestConn's Conley And Seville Receive CSC Academic All-District Women's Track And Field Honors

DANBURY, Conn. - Western Connecticut State University women's track and field senior Annastacia Seville (Torrington, Conn.) and junior Caitlin Conley (Ridgefield, Conn.) were each honored as the first-ever Wolves to earn CSC Division III Academic All-District Women's Track and Field/Cross Country this spring.  Conley also joined six other Wolves track and field/cross country athletes on the 2025 Little East Conference (LEC) Fall Academic Honor Roll.  WestConn, coached by Ryan Budd (2nd Season), finished ninth in both the LEC Women's Indoor Track and Field and Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meets in 2025-26.  

The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track and field and cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.  Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.

The LEC announced a total of 2,745 student-athletes competing in the conference's 21 championship sports for the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of their academic performance in the fall 2025 semester. To be named the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the season.

Seville boasted a career-high toss of 38'06.75" in the weight throw at the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational that ranked her among the top 40 in the region.  In the outdoor season, Seville finished among the top ten in the hammer throw at both the Yellow Jacket Open at American International College and the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.  She was also ninth in the hammer with a career-high distance of 131'09" at the 2026 LEC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet.  A graduate of Torrington High School, Seville graduated from WestConn in May with a degree psychology.

Conley recorded a career-high toss of 93'10" in the javelin throw to take 10th in the 2026 LEC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet that ranked her among the top 30 in the region.  Conley also placed among the top ten javelin throwers in both the Yellow Jacket Open at American International College and the Trinity College Invitational.  A graduate of Ridgefield High School, Conley was honored as the WestConn Female Scholar Athlete of the Year this spring as an elementary education major at WestConn.
