Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) finished sixth in the discus throw at 110'11", as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves closed out a busy weekend at the Trinity Women's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at Trinity College this afternoon. WestConn, which, competed in the Bonnie Edmondson Invitational at Eastern Connecticut State University yesterday, placed 13th in the team standings with four points. Wesleyan won the team title with 116 points. WestConn will start the championship season next Saturday with the Little East Conference (LEC) Championship Meet at Eastern Connecticut.
Grey's performance earned the Wolves three points and an eighth-place finish by junior
Caitlin Conley (Ridgefield, Conn.) in the javelin throw at 91'01" garnered the fourth point. Grey was also ninth in the hammer throw with a toss of 125'02", while freshman
Laziah Quinonez (Manchester, Conn.) was 13th in the 100-meter hurdles, and fellow rookie
Vienna Brocco (Roslyn, N.Y.) was 15th in the 5,000-meter run.
