WILLIMANTIC, Conn. —
Jordyn Grey (Naugatuck, Conn.) earned a trio of top-eight finishes for the Western Connecticut State University women's track & field team at the Little East Conference (LEC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday. The first-year was named to the LEC All-Rookie team in the discus, hammer and shot put. The Wolves came in ninth with fifteen team points.
Grey placed fourth in the hammer throw with a personal best 43.08m heave, while
Annastacia Seville (Torrington, Conn.) placed ninth for a career-best 40.16-meter throw. For another personal record, Grey earned fifth in the shot put with a 11.53-meter heave. She also finished sixth in the discus after throwing for 34.60m.Â
Laziah Quinonez (Manchester, Conn.) nabbed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 11:13.25 and
Caitlin Conley (Ridgefield, Conn.) threw for 28.60 meters in the javelin to claim 10th place.
WestConn travels to the New England Division III Championships hosted at Springfield College on May 1-2.
