Three Wolves Named to LEC All-Conference Team for WestConn Baseball

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Third baseman Josef Rosa (Fort Lee, N.J.), along with outfielders Thomas Keough (Plainville, Conn.) and Nick Lobuono (Trumbull, Conn.) all earned Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference Third Team for the trio's first time earning the honor with the Western Connectitcut State University baseball team on Wednesday. Under head coach Johnny Susi (27th Season), the Wolves concluded the regular season 11-24 overall and 3-13 in the LEC.

In 18 games started, Rosa had 17 runs, 11 RBI on 25 hits, including a pair of home runs. He is 11th in the league in batting average with .368 percent. The senior had seven multi-hit games, including a career-high three across four-straight games in the Albertus Magnus College and Vermont State University Castleton doubleheaders, and against Manhattanville University.

Keough led the team in batting average (.339), runs (31), hits (43) and at bats (127). The junior had 13 multi-hit games with a career-high four in game one against Castleton. On March 26 against Trinity College, Keough brought in a career-high five Wolves. In the field, he had 149 putouts for a .988 fielding percentage.

Lobouno is sixth in the conference in home runs (6) .eighth in slugging percentage (.592) and 10th in RBI (40). The sophomore had a career-high six RBI against Old Westbury and the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) and record eight multi-hit games.
