KEENE, N.H. — To conclude the regular season, the Western Connecticut State University baseball team dropped a road doubleheader against Keene State University on Friday. The Wolves fell 15-5 in game one, then 17-5 in game two. WestConn moved to 11-24 on the season and 3-13 in the Little East Conference, while the Owls improved to 23-14 and 13-3.
In game one, the home team scored 11 unanswered runs in the first two innings before
Mitch Landau (Northport, N.Y.) scored to put the Wolves on the board off a double from
Thomas Keough (Plainville, Conn.). The Owls remained hot in game two with 14 straight runs in the first three frames before
Justin Reo (Plainview, N.Y.) crossed home on a
Joe Fasano (Waterbury, Conn.) single to left field.
