DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday. The 17th Wolves of the Week in 2025-26 academic year and first in the calendar year of 2026 have been selected for their stellar performances on the basketball court. Senior
Nick Boyce (Jamaica, N.Y.) and sophomore
Fatmata Barrie (Staten Island, N.Y.) were named Wolves of the Week.
Boyce registered 25 points, eight rebounds, six assists and a trio of steals in a 2-0 week for men's basketball. He tied his season-high of 17 points in a 98-86 road victory over Little East Conference (LEC) opponent UMass Dartmouth on January 10. He recorded a season-best five assists against Rhode Island College on January 8 and tied for his career-best.
Barrie dominated the court for the women's basketball as the second-year Wolf collected 27 points, 22 rebounds, a block and a steal across a pair of LEC games. The forward delivered career-highs in points (19), rebounds (13) and defensive rebounds (8) against league foe RIC.
