Kile Jackson (Danbury, Conn.) had seven tackles, 3.5 sacks, and an interception to lead the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 38-7 win over the Kean University Cougars in football action this afternoon. WestConn improves to 3-0 with its sixth victory in a row and Kean falls to 1-2. The Wolves will play their first-ever Landmark Conference game next Saturday at 1 p.m. in the middle game of a three-game road stretch at Juniata College in Pennsylvania.

Serge Lagardere (Stamford, Conn.) three times for 53 yards and twice for first downs during the drive. Kean took a 7-3 lead on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Rocco Pellegrino to Justin Leigh early in the second quarter, Jackson was picked off by Kean's Chris Amos moments later, and the Cougars had a punt return for a score by Christian Bunjo nullified by a penalty.
Kile Jackson stole the momentum back for the Wolves with his interception of a Pellegrino pass that gave WestConn the ball at the Kean 17-yard line with five minutes left before halftime.

Dylan Jackson to Faucett on 3rd-and-8. The drive finished up with a one-handed grab by Faucett in the right corner of the end zone to give the Wolves a 24-7 lead with 14:50 left in the game. The Kean offense could get nowhere against WestConn's defense, while

WestConn held the Cougars to eight rushing yards on 20 carries and just 147 total yards, while WestConn totaled 441 yards offensively.
