Benni Tucci (Norwalk, Conn.) were each named to both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region II Team and the Little East Conference (LEC) Softball 2025 All-Conference First Team. WestConn junior
Alexis Resto (Shelton, Conn.) and sophomore
Kendall Allen (Naugatuck, Conn.) graced the LEC Softball All-Conference Second Team, while Wolves freshmen
Sera DeBaggis (Mendon, Mass.) and
Victoria Wiatrak (Cromwell, Conn.) were both selected for the LEC Softball All-Rookie Team. Filancia graced the NFCA All-Region First Team at shortstop and Tucci made the NFCA All-Region Third Team at DP. WestConn, coached by
Heather Stone (19th Season), finished the 2025 campaign with a 24-20 overall record, its highest win total since 2015, and in fourth place in the LEC with an 8-8 mark against conference teams. The Wolves qualified for the LEC Championship Tournament, going 2-2 with wins over UMass Dartmouth and Southern Maine before falling to Eastern Connecticut in the consolation semifinals.

Filancia, an NFCA All-Region Second Team selection as a sophomore at SUNY New Paltz in 2024, batted a team-high .393 and also led the Wolves with 135 at-bats, 51 runs, 53 hits, 66 total bases, 28 walks, a .500 on-base percentage, and a school-record 43 stolen bases in 45 tries. She also had 11 doubles, a triple, 17 RBIs, a .489 slugging percentage (tied for team lead) with a .955 fielding percentage while striking out just eight times in 44 games (all starts) as the Wolves' shortstop. Filancia was an all-conference, an NCAA Regional All-Tournament honoree, and an Academic Honor Roll member for the New Paltz Hawks last spring. She is a graduate of John Jay High School and is majoring in anthropology and sociology at WestConn.
Tucci, an NFCA All-Region Second Teamer, an All-LEC First Team selection and the LEC Rookie of the Year in 2023, hit .379 (50-132) this season with 23 runs, three doubles, three triples, 13 RBIs, 59 total bases for a .447 slugging percentage, seven stolen bases in eight attempts, and a .414 on-base percentage. She played in all 44 games with 42 starts, predominantly as the designated player but also had a .961 fielding percentage in 51 chances at 2B. Tucci was also an LEC All-Rookie honoree two springs ago. She is a graduate of Norwalk High School and is majoring in health promotion studies at WestConn.
Resto, an LEC All-Rookie honoree in 2023, batted .344 this spring (42-122) with team-highs of 14 doubles and 12 HBPs while starting all 44 games as the Wolves, mostly at 3B. Resto also had 15 runs, 28 RBIs, 56 total bases for a .459 slugging percentage, 11 walks, and a .442 on-base percentage. Resto committed just three errors in 156 chances for a .981 fielding percentage and tied for the team lead with eight double plays defensively. Resto is a two-time LEC All-Academic Selection and has been named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll on multiple occasions. A graduate of Shelton High School, Resto is majoring in social work at WestConn.
Allen, who repeats on the All-LEC Second Team, batted .318 this spring (42-132) with a team-high 30 RBIs while playing in all 44 games with 41 starts. Allen also totaled seven runs and eight doubles committed just four errors in 110 chances for a .964 fielding percentage, mostly at 2B, and tied for the team lead with eight double plays defensively. Allen was also an LEC All-Rookie honoree in 2024 and has been named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times. A graduate of Naugatuck High School, Allen is a CSC Academic All-District and an LEC All-Academic Team selection this spring as a health education major at WestConn.
