PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Senior forward Leana Heitmann (East Syracuse, N.Y.) earned Little East Conference (LEC) Player of the Week after securing her fourth double-double in her first season on the Western Connecticut State University women's basketball team on Monday.

Heitmann totaled 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 70-44 non-conference win against St. Joseph (Conn.) on Tuesday, which was the only game of the week for the Wolves. She made six-of-eight (75 percent) shots from the floor and was four-of-five from long range in the victory.
