DANBURY,Conn. - Western Connecticut State University seniors Hannah Blacher (Allendale, N.J.) and Sophia Onek (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) were named to the 2024 Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference First Team. WestConn sophomore Shannon Anderson (New Milford, Conn.) graced the LEC All-Conference Second Team, and senior Casey Papp (Seaford, N.Y.) and junior Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.) were both selected for the LEC All-Conference Third Team. The Wolves, coached by Alex Harrison (10th season) finished the 2025 campaign with a 13-8-2 overall record and finished tied with Rhode Island College for fourth place in the LEC with a 4-3-1 record against conference teams. The Wolves qualified for the LEC Championship Tournament, winning, 4-1, against Rhode Island College and, 2-0, at Eastern Connecticut before falling at Southern Maine, 3-0, in the league finals.
Blacher, who repeats on the All-LEC First Team, scored seven goals with three game-winners (T2nd in LEC) and a team high nine assists (2nd in LEC) for 23 points (10th in LEC) on 31 shots while appearing in and starting 22 games this fall in the WestConn midfield. She converted on all three of her penalty kick attempts. A graduate of Northern Highlands High School, Blacher has been an LEC Academic Honor roll member as an art major at WestConn.
Onek, the 2023 LEC Rookie of the Year and a three-time All-LEC honoree, scored two goals and added one assist for five points on 23 shots with one game-winner this autumn while appearing in and starting 21 games in the WestConn backfield. Onek anchored the WestConn defense that allowed 1.57 goals and 13.3 shots per game and recorded eight shutouts. A graduate of Sachem North High School, Onek has been an LEC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll member as a psychology major at WestConn.
Anderson scored a team-high 11 goals (5th in NESCAC) with two game-winners and added five assists for a team-high 27 points (5th in LEC) on 78 shots while appearing in and started 21 games at forward this fall. A graduate of New Milford High School, Anderson was 1-for-1 on penalty kicks and was honored as the LEC Offensive Player of the Week once this fall. A graduate of New Milford High School, Anderson is majoring in nursing at WestConn.
Papp appeared in and started 22 games this fall, helping the WestConn defense allow just 1.57 goals and 13.3 shots per game and record eight shutouts. A graduate from Island Trees High School, Papp has been an LEC Academic Honor roll member as health and wellness management major at WestConn.
Regan appeared in and started 21 games in the WestConn goal this fall, totaling 108 saves for a .783 save percentage and allowing 30 goals for a 1.49 GAA with a league-best seven shutouts and a 12-7-2 record in 1,818 minutes of play. Regan was honored as the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week twice this fall. A graduate of Monroe High School, Regan has been an LEC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll member as an illustration major at WestConn.
