PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After ending the regular season with back-to-back wins, Western Connecticut State University standouts
Maggie Ferguson (Southbury, Conn.) and
Hallie Robillard (Middletown, Conn.) earned Little East Conference weekly awards on Monday. Ferguson was selected for Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season, while Robillard secured her first Rookie of the Week accolade.
Ferguson averaged 11.83 assists and 2.67 digs per set in a 2-0 week for the Wolves to cap off the regular season. The senior totaled 34 assists with four kills, four digs and three service aces in a non-conference sweep of Saint Joseph (Conn.) before handing out 37 assists with 12 digs in a sweep of LEC-rival Keene State University.
Robillard averaged 3.40 kills per set while hitting .533 over a pair of WestConn sweeps to close out the regular season last week. She hit .643 with nine kills in a non-conference win over Saint Joseph (Conn.) before hitting .438 with eight kills versus LEC-rival Keene State.
