DANBURY,Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves were beaten, 42-24, to the visiting Lycoming College Warriors in Landmark Conference football action this afternoon at Westside Stadium,falling to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the league with their second loss in a row. Lycoming's Terrence Oliver ran 62 yards for the game's first touchdown on the Warriors' first play from scrimmage. WestConn answered with a 71-yard touchdown pass from junior

Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.) with 11:49 left in the first quarter. Do Amaral totaled 11 points in the first half with field goals of 37, 29, and 27 yards but the Warrior offense scored three more touchdowns in the first half to lead 28-17 at intermission. Michael Van Horn scored two of the Warrior touchdowns on direct snap runs up the gut.
Lycoming outscored WestConn, 14-0, in the third quarter to open up a 42-17 lead, scoring once on a 75-yard blocked field goal return by Ryan Pentz and taking advantage of an interception by Matt Trolinger to score its second touchdown. Wolves senior CB
