HARTFORD, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University men's and women's cross country teams opened the season at the 1st Annual University of Hartford Invitational on Saturday at Keney Park. Senior
Eric Rohm (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) clocked in at a time of 17.38.00 in the 5,000-meter race to pace the men, while sophomore Lexie O'Meara (Wolcott, Conn.) finished the 3,000-meter event in 14:02.10 to lead the women.
Other notable finishes included men's senior
Nick Howlett (North Haven, Conn.) who crossed the finish line in 19:02.00 and women's junior
Summer Smith (Bethel, Conn.) who marked a time of 16:17.50.
The Wolves return to action in two weeks when they travel to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 21 at 10:30 a.m.
