DANBURY, Conn. - The Western Connecticut State University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with visiting non-conference foe Williams College on Sunday afternoon at the Westside Athletic Complex. With the stalemate, the Wolves moved to 4-2-2 and are now unbeaten in their last six games.

The hosts controlled first half play, while the visitors held the edge in ball possession during the second stanza. Williams finished ahead in shots for the game, 17-12, and corner kicks, 5-4.

The Wolves ignited the scoring column when junior forward Maximus Vigo (Canton, Mich.) struck for his fourth goal of the season less than 23 minutes into the contest. Senior midfielder Kadin Talho (Waterbury, Conn.) took a pretty drop pass just inside the box and chipped a cross to the far post to Vigo, who headed the ball into the twine.

The Ephs would answer in the 76th minute of play when sophomore Griffin Labonski (Westport, Conn.) took a feed from rookie forward Lorcan Mitchell (West Springfield, Mass.) and ripped a shot into the top-right corner from just inside the rectangle. The visitors had a trio of solid scoring chances down the stretch, however, WestConn junior goalkeeper Zachary Benson (Milford, Conn.) made several spectacular stops as the teams finished deadlocked.

Williams moved to 4-2-1 overall. WestConn returns to action when they host non-league opponent John Jay College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
