WestConn led, 2-1, after doubles thanks to dominant wins by the senior duos of
Melanie Grasso (New Fairfield, Conn.) and
Diana Rebelo (Naugatuck, Conn.) at No. 1 and Sophia Charbonneau (Oakville, Conn.) and Sara Cipriano (Watertown, Conn.) at No. 2. In singles, all four seniors won easily at the top four spots. Wolves freshman
Ava Ciampi (Wolcott, Conn.) earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory at fifth singles and senior

"This match was a good rebound from our first conference match versus Salem State," said WestConn Head Coach Shawn Stillman. "The team was focused and stuck to their game plan. Even the two courts we lost, we were close enough to have won them. We just need to continue to play smart tennis, especially in close matches."
