SALEM, Mass. - Rookie attacker
Cody Suhr (Holbrook, N.Y.) racked up four goals and an assist to propel the Western Connecticut State University men's lacrosse team to a 25-9 victory at Little East Conference foe Salem State University on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in league play, while the Vikings sank to 4-11 and 0-8.
The visitors erupted with 12 goals in the opening quarter. Suhr and junior attacker
Julian Duque (Mastic, N.Y.) each converted hat tricks during the barrage. The Wolves would extend the advantage to 16-0 when senior midfielder
Joseph Boss (Holbrook, N.Y.) tickled the twine before Salem State would register its first goal.
WestConn made it a 20-1 halftime lead. They would cruise the remainder of the way before four of the final five goals.
The Wolves will look to keep things rolling when they head to LEC rivals Keene State on Tuesday before the regular season finale on Friday with Southern Maine.
