PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior guard
Nicole Vivian (New Milford, Conn.) netted a team-high 14 points but the Western Connecticut State University women's basketball team fell at No. 3 Rhode Island College on Wednesday evening at The Murray Center.
With the loss, the Wolves dropped to 6-17 overall and 2-12 in Little East Conference play, while the nationally-ranked Anchorwomen improved to 23-0 and 14-0. They are now just one of three undefeated teams in Division III.

Sydney Craig (Waterbury, Conn.) added eight points. Three players pierced double-digit scoring for the hosts. Angelina Nardolillo led the way with a game-high 19, while Izabelle Booth and Sophia Guerrier tallied 17 and 15, respectively. Booth also racked up a game-high nine boards.
RIC canned the first bucket of the game and would not look back. They shot 50 percent from the floor while holding WestConn to 36 percent. The Anchorwomen also sank seven three-pointers, while the Wolves were held to an 0-for-10 mark.
The hosts would hold a 38-21 lead at halftime before surging in the third quarter. They put the game out of reach, outscoring WestConn, 24-4, in the stanza. They would cruise the rest of the way.
WestConn will look to snap its skid when they travel to LEC foe Keene State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
