With the victory, the Wolves improved to 2-1 overall while the Bloodhounds dropped to 2-1.
The hosts trailed in the early minutes, 5-0, before surging ahead with a 19-0 run. Belcher capped the spurt with a free throw after converting a fast break layup while being fouled.
John Jay cut the deficit to 40-34 at the break when junior guard Isaac Holmes (East Brunswick, N.J.) drained a three-pointer. They would not get any closer in the second half.

Cameron Gallon (York, Pa.) rounded the flurry out with a jumper from the elbox to make it 58-36 midway thru the stanza. The hosts would cruise the rest of the way as they shot a staggering 55.2 percent from the floor in the period, while holding the visitors to just a 25 percent clip.
WestConn will seek to extend its win streak to three games when they head to the College at Old Westbury on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
