WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Western Connecticut State University men's and women's cross country squads rounded out the season competing at the NCAA Mideast Regional hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park on Saturday. The men ran an 8k event, while the women clocked a 6k event.
On the men's side, senior
Eric Rohm (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) led the Wolves, crossing the finish line in 27:09.40. The race crown went to R.P.I as junior Cory Kennedy notched a time of 23:56.70.Â
For the women, junior
Summer Smith (Bethel, Conn.) paced WestConn with a 30:24.20 showing, while rookie
Charlotte Luquer (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and senior
Marnie De La Rosa (Southington, Conn.) finished on her heels with times of 32:52.60 and 35:12.90, respectively. Williams College senior Genna Girard captured the top spot, coming across the stripe in 20:40.80.
