CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team improved to 5-0 on the season after Monday's 11-2 victory over Farmingdale State College in Clearwater, Florida on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore midfielder
Vicky Gracy (Bethel, Conn.) led all scorers with four goals against the Rams.Â
Dominique DeMarsico (Danbury, Conn.) and
Alexa Riggio (North Massapequa, N.Y.) each found the back of the net three times.
Athena Vogiatzia scored both goals for Farmingdale, which drops to 1-4 on the year.
Junior
Anna Schipf (Babylon, N.Y.) and sophomore
Molly Bresnahan (Noank, Conn.) split duties in goal for WestConn. Schipf made three saves in the first half while Bresnahan turned away five Rams shot attempts.
WestConn, which had its Sunday game canceled due to violent storms, will attempt to find another game in Florida before heading north. Its next schedule game is at Wesleyan University on Wednesday, March 23. Game time with the Cardinals is set for 6 pm in Middletown, Conn.
