Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Western Connecticut State University men's tennis team fell to St. Mary's College of Maryland on Monday afternoon, 9-0, on the second day of their Spring trip. WCSU was originally scheduled to meet Nazareth, however, St. Mary's was able to step in and complete the match.
"Todays match was a good experience for our team. SMCM was a strong team, forcing our men to play even better, sharper. The pressure was on us to perform. Matches like this help prepare us for future conference competition to come," stated WestConn head coach

Sophomore
Kevin Tenesaca (Danbury, Conn.) and rookie
Nicholas Peschier (Bridgeport, Conn.) put together worthy performances for WestConn. They each lost their respective opening sets, 7-5, but could not recover.
With the loss, WestConn dropped to 0-2 overall. They will look to rebound from the setback when they match up against Western New England University tomorrow at 10 a.m. The trip concludes on Wednesday when they meet Lancaster Bible College at 4:30 p.m.
