Kevin Tenesaca (Danbury, Conn.) and freshman Bhayva Rana (Danbury, Conn.) were 2024-25 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Scholar Athletes. All four, along with freshmen
Jack Buck (New Fairfield, Conn.),
Henry Gsell (Bridgewater, Conn.),
Axel Javier (Danbury, Conn.), and
Jose Zambrano (Danbury, Conn.) additionally graced the Little East Conference (LEC) 2024-25 Fall/Spring Academic Honor Roll.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. In 2025, 1,115 Division III men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, having compiled at least a 3.50 g.p.a. in the 2024-25 academic year.
To be selected to the LEC Winter All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30. The LEC announced a total of 2,276 student-athletes competing in the conference's current 21 championship sports to the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of their academic performance in the fall 2024 semester. Harris, a three-time CSC Academic All-District selection, posted an 8-7 record in dual matches (4-2 in LEC play) playing in the middle of the Wolves' lineup. Harris was also 8-7 in doubles, including an 8-6 record with freshman partner
Jose Zambrano (Danbury, Conn.), as the WestConn starting tandem at No. 3 on the ladder. An alum of Guilford High School, Harris has been an LEC All-Academic Team and LEC Academic Honor Roll member as a music and audio production major at WestConn. WestConn men's tennis, coached by Shawn Stillman (11th Season), finished the 2025 campaign with an 8-10 overall record and in fourth place in the LEC with a 3-3 conference mark.
