Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Junior Sebastian Frisch (Redding, Conn.) notched a three set singles win as the Western Connecticut State University men's tennis squad fell to Webster University, 8-1, in its season opening match in South Carolina on a bright Sunday afternoon.

After dropping the first set, Frisch rallied to win the second set, 6-2, before winning the third, 10-8. 

"Despite losing 8-1 today, there were many counts where we played close competitive tennis, although we came up short. Experiences like this will help make them stronger for future matches. I look forward to watching them grow and improve this season," said WestConn head coach Shawn Stillman following the match.

WestConn will look to rebound when they square off against Nazareth College on Monday at 1 p.m.
