Box Score BOSTON, MASS. - Juniors
Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.) and
Skylar Jorge (Trumbull, Conn.) scored first-half goals and the Western Connecticut State University women's soccer team blanked Wentworth, 2-0 at Sweeney Field on Saturday afternoon.
Croze scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season at the 37:02 mark to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Just 1:14 later, Jorge scored an unassisted goal to give WestConn a comfortable 2-0 cushion. It was her first goal of the season for the 4-0 booters.
Junior
Karly Martin (Bristol, Conn.) earned the shut out after making three saves. She is now a perfect 4-0 on the year.
WestConn outshot the Leopards, 20-6 and attempted five corner kicks on Saturday.
Juliana Heaton suffered the loss in goal for the hosts. She made seven saves for Wentworth.
WestConn returns to the Westside Athletic Complex for another non-league affair on Wednesday, September 15. It will face Vassar College with game time slated for 4 pm.
