Victoria Korzan chipped in with 13 to lead the Western Connecticut State University women's volleyball squad to a 3-2 (27-25, 25-27, 25-18, 19-25, 15-7) nailbiting victory at Connecticut College in a non-league matchup on Wednesday night.

Abbi Debes (New Milford, Conn.) added 11 kills, good for a .310 hitting percentage, while junior setter
Rory McMaster (Canton, Mich.) set up a match-high 47 assists for the visitors.
With the win, WestConn improved to 13-6 overall while the Camels dropped to 4-8.
The contest was neck-and-neck as both squads exchanged set wins until the visitors took control with a 9-3 run to begin the fifth set. The final set flurry began and ended with a pair of Conn. College service errors. Brochu smacked two floors before the hosts committed another error to set the final score.
WestConn returns to action for a Little East Conference battle at UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday at Noon.Â
